New Zealand Cricket (NZC) Chairman Alan Isaac Talks Of The Challenges And Targets:

‘I feel the experience I have gained through my senior role with KPMG and operating in a global environment in that business, I can bring some experience of working with groups of people with different nationalities and backgrounds, and working through the issues which come up from time to time,’ says Mr Isaac, who is an eminent businessman and corporate governance practitioner who retired as Chairman of KPMG in New Zealand in 2006 after 35 years association with the company.

‘My role is to the support the President as he has the key leadership role. In respect of my term after that, I would like to think that when I finish, the reputation and the standing of the ICC has enhanced in some way.”
Talking of the immediate challenges, Isaac says: “The most significant ongoing project at the moment is to get an agreement on the Future Tours Programme.

It is vitally important to the ICC and the Full Members to understand and know what their future commitments are so that they can sell their television and commercial rights.”
Joining Isaac on the show is India’s iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar who looks ahead at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and former captain Saurav Gangulay who talks about India’s spin worries and shares his views on the DRS.

Tendulkar says: “I’m very fortunate to have played in five World Cups so far. God has been very kind to me to have given me good health and with that fair amount of runs. I’m very happy and very grateful with whatever has come my way.

“I treasure each and every moment as I have not taken anything for granted. I have worked hard for everything I have achieved and will continue to do so. I’m just very happy, excited and extremely thankful to the Almighty.”
